Have you ever wondered who it is that buys the prize winning exhibits at the Winter Fair?
The Royal Welsh Winter Fair is widely referred to as the finest prime stock show in Europe and is firmly established as one of the most popular attractions on the British agricultural show calendar. Leading stockmen from all over the UK compete for the top accolades in the classes and competitions with over 33,000 visitors attending the two-day event last year.
With over 1,300 cattle, sheep, pigs and horses as well as over 160 entries in the lamb carcass classes, the stakes are always set for a great couple of days’ worth of competitions.
The grand finale of the event are the livestock auctions on the second day (Monday for dressed poultry) where hundreds of potential buyers bid with the aim of purchasing one of the prize winning exhibits.
