RWAS £3000 scholarship for students
11 March 2013
Agricultural students in Wales who have qualified academically to enter a degree or equivalent higher education course in land-based studies may be able to benefit from a £3000 Royal Welsh Agricultural Society scholarship fund sponsored by Waitrose.
Royal Welsh scholarships aim to encourage students of merit to develop their potential through academic achievement to enable them to make a more effective contribution to the agricultural industry.
This particular scholarship is awarded annually by competitive selection and distributed at the discretion of the judges. It is open to students from Wales who may have taken their Higher National Diploma or foundation degree at an agricultural college in England, Scotland or Wales and who may wish by merit qualification to proceed to a degree course in land-based studies at a university college in any of the three countries.
To qualify for the scholarship a candidate’s family normally will have lived in Wales for not less than five years up to the date of the application.
The closing date for applications is April 19 2013.
