Visitors to the Royal Welsh Show will have a brand new handy aid to help them locate instantly any of the events and attractions taking place on the showground.
A Royal Welsh Show App has been developed through a joint venture between the RWAS and S4C. It is bilingual and includes a full timetable of events and competitions together with the latest results. A media section includes pictures, stories, blogs and videos from the showground.
Information on traffic and the local weather forecast is also included.
The App is available to download free to iphone and Android phones.
Download the App from :iTunes Store for iphones, ipod touch and ipad: http://moil.in/royalwelshios, and for Android phones including Samsung, HTC, Nokia and Motorola from Google Play : http://moil.in/royalwelshandroid.
The App needs to be downloaded before arrival at the show.
“The Royal Welsh Show App is part of our drive to embrace new technologies and social media. It will be really useful allowing visitors to view the program, select their favourite events, interact with a map of the showground and get information on results, traffic, weather and much more,” said Royal Welsh Chief Executive, Steve Hughson.
“We are sure people will find the App a convenient and easy way to keep up to the minute with what’s going on and where to find it and we are grateful to S4C for their support in helping us to bring this latest technology to the show and making all the information available with a few taps of the finger.”
