Anyone for afternoon tea?

11 September 2014

On Sunday 21 September Knighton Community Centre will be the place to go for a spot of tea and cake and an afternoon of entertainment.

Organised jointly by Radnor 2014 Royal Welsh feature county, Dolau YFC and Knighton YFC the afternoon tea party will start at 3.30pm and is open to everyone.

Guests will be entertained by a host of local acts including soloist, Harriet Williams, Titleys Ladies Choir (TLC), the Dolau Singers, “The Cretins” produced by Ben Hardwick, The Jackson Dancers, Dolau Disco Dancers, poetry read by Jill Holt, to name a few…

Thanks to the wedding of the Radnor area 4 fundraising committee’s chairman, Dan Price, the previous day, the inside of the community centre will be transformed into a magical marquee, complete with decorations and flowers - the perfect venue for a sophisticated afternoon tea party.

Tickets to the party can be purchased on the door and will cost £7. For more information, please contact Lisa Powell on 07757 972 343.

The event is one of the last in a long line of fundraising activities that have been happening all across Radnorshire for the past 18 months. As the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society’s 2014 feature county, Radnor have been raising funds for their project; to build an extension and improve the facilities at Neuadd Henllan, the stockman’s accommodation.

Just one week before the party, on Sunday 14 September, the main Radnor Advisory Committee will be holding a L'Armoire of Llanidloes Fashion Show in the Montgomery Pavilion at the showground.
