Christmas shopping at the Winter Fair

9 November 2015

Whether you are after that unique gift for someone special, some tasty delicacies for the festive season a stocking filler for the kids or just a treat for yourself, the Royal Welsh Winter Fair is the place to do your Christmas shopping.

The Royal Welsh Winter Fair will be held on Monday 30 November and Tuesday 1 December at the showground in Llanelwedd, Builth Wells and along with the usual packed schedule of competitions, classes, exhibitions and festive celebrations, the two-day event is the perfect place to pick up original and perfect Christmas gifts.

This year’s Winter Fair will also have a new shopping pavilion based in the Members Centre which along with the gifts halls, craft centres, existing shopping pavilions, farmers market and food hall, means there will be plenty of opportunity to get all your Christmas shopping done in one go.

Following the success of last year, the fair will once again be opening its doors to the public for free after 4pm on the Monday evening for a late night Christmas shopping evening. Visitors on Monday evening will also be able to enjoy looking around the demonstrations and exhibitions, listening to the choirs and bands performing throughout the showground, and of course our younger visitors may also be lucky enough to meet Father Christmas (in Tŷ Ynys Môn from 4.30pm – 6pm).

To top it all, as night falls, visitors will be treated to a spectacular nightglow display. Made up of a group of impressive and imposing hot air balloons, the nightglow display lights up the night sky in time to music for an hour long spectacle visible from across the showground.
