McCartneys continue as the Royal Welsh Winter Fair official auctioneers

With the preparations for the 27th Royal Welsh Winter Fair in full swing, and the livestock entries beginning to flood into the office, the society are delighted to announce that McCartneys will once again be the events official auctioneers.
A local firm, McCartneys run five very successful livestock markets at Brecon, Kington, Knighton, Ludlow and Worcester, all with thriving weekly markets drawing livestock from a wide area and attracting buyers from across the UK.
“This will be the seventh consecutive Winter Fair at which McCartneys have been the official auctioneers” said Aled Jones, Assistant Chief Executive of the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society. “The society are very pleased that they have agreed to enter into another three year agreement and we very much look forward to continue working with their dedicated and hardworking team over the next few years.”

The Royal Welsh Winter Fair is highly regarded as the finest prime stock show in Europe and has become well established as one of the most popular attractions on the British agricultural show calendar. Leading stockmen from all over the UK compete for the top accolades and their share of over £25,000 of total prize money up for grabs in over 200 classes special awards and championships throughout the two-day event.
With over 1,700 top quality entries for the competitions, the auctions are always eagerly anticipated and cause a buzz of excitement during the second day of the Winter Fair.
