News - Winter Fair
Livestock schedules for this year’s Royal Welsh Winter Fair have gone out to 5000 potential exhibitors. The event takes place on the showground at Llanelwedd, Builth Wells, on December 2 and 3, and the closing date for entries is October 23 2013.
The Winter Fair was first staged in 1990, has a reputation as being the best prime stock show in the UK, if not Europe, and is well established as one of the most popular attractions on the agricultural show calendar.
A top price of more than £8000 and an attendance of 25,636 – the fourth highest since the event was established in 1990 – ensured the success of the 2012 Royal Welsh Winter Fair despite flooded roads which made travel to Llanelwedd difficult from some areas of Wales.Read more
